Hot Tuesday, warm side on Wednesday

Happy Tuesday Central Oregon!

Expect a hot day today, with temperatures climbing into the 90s.

With the return of the heat, fire danger also increases. A Fire Weather Warning is in effect to the south today due to dry air and windy conditions. We're monitoring the situation closely as the warning could potentially extend into parts of Deschutes County.

With this dry pattern, please be cautious of anything that may spark a wildfire. There's been several small fires that have developed recently but firefighters have been managing them well.

Overnight lows will drop into the 40s and 50s under partly cloudy skies.

As we move into Wednesday, temperatures will drop back down into the 80s. There may be some strong storms over eastern Oregon Wednesday but will not develop in Central Oregon.

Thursday we cool down to the 70s for afternoon highs, which is near normal for late June.

Enjoy your day and stay safe out there in the heat.
