Warm today with a brief cool down tomorrow

Good morning!

Expect widespread haze in parts of Deschutes County along with areas of smoke as we move through the morning. Some areas are still feeling the impacts of the Darlene 3 Fire which has triggered evacuations, area closures and power shutoffs.

Highs today will be in the low 80s in most parts of the region under partly sunny skies. Winds should be on the light to breezy side.

There will be areas of showers and some thunderstorms today mainly to the east of us, but the radar shows possibility for showers moving into Central Oregon. Overnight tonight into tomorrow, mountain precipitation becomes the dominant activity with rain along the Cascades.

Thursday will be a quiet and cooler day with highs sitting in the low 70s. We'll quickly return to the 80s as we head closer into the weekend.

Stay safe out there.
