Today will be warm and dry but showers begin tomorrow
Today will be warm, highs in the upper 70s with some clouds increasing into the evening. Lows tonight will be in the 40s.
Tomorrow, we will cool a number of degrees into the low 70s before we drop into the 60s on Friday. The low pressure system will deepen of the coast by Thursday, bringing cooler temperatures and showers across the region. Showers and the chance for a couple isolated thunderstorms will be best on Thursday night and through the day on Friday. Friday will see widespread showers. A cold front moves in with the low pressure on Thursday night, which is why we’ll be extra cool heading into the weekend, dropping roughly 15 degrees below normal this time of year. It will feel a lot like October for a couple days!
Air quality will remain good and we can thank the cooler temperatures, wetter, and cloudier conditions to thank for that. These conditions will definitely be welcomed by many, considering how hot and dry we’ve been this summer.
Breezy conditions can be expected for the next couple days with the incoming low pressure system. Potential fire weather danger has yet to be determined because we’ll be cooler and wetter. I believe the showers will mitigate the dangers but we’ll keep you updated as things progress.
Happy Wednesday!
