Dry start to the work week but rain and snow is expected later

Temperatures today will top out in the 30s and 40s under mostly sunny skies. We could see some patchy fog this morning. Lows tonight will be cold, dropping into the single digits for some while others hover in the teens and low 20s.

Temperatures will be in the 40s for the majority of the week, with a few areas occasionally dipping down into the 30s.

An area of high pressure is currently overhead and will remain overhead for a couple days before a low pressure swoops in mid-week to break it down. With this ridge of high pressure, we could see a couple foggy mornings. We will see dry and clear afternoons until the low pressure moves in. Then, we’ll see increasing cloud cover by Wednesday. Chances for rain and snow increase heading into the weekend.

Right now, the wettest day appears to be Saturday, where most areas will see snow or a wintry mix early in the day. The Cascades will accumulate a nice amount of fresh snow after the dry period last week. I will continue to track the timing and the expected snowfall as the week progresses.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Happy Monday and have a great week.
