Lingering rain but a clearing is expected by Wednesday

The Winter Storm Warning that is out for most of Central Oregon and the Cascades will expire at 10am today. Today will be slushy and wet due to warming temps and melting snow.

We are going to see light, lingering rain this morning before becoming drier this afternoon. Some areas could see a few flurries drop early in the day. We will see some breaks in the clouds as we approach the evening but clouds will increase again overnight. There is a slim chance for an overnight or early morning shower to drop a few rain drops before we officially dry out for the remainder of the work week.

A ridge of high pressure builds over the region mid week which helps to dry us out and raise our temps. Today, highs will be in the low to mid 40s. By Wednesday, we will see highs hit the 50s for a number of areas. Normal for this time of year is 40 degrees.

Due to a warm front passage, lows tonight will only drop into the 30s.

The next chance for rain will be over the weekend as rain and a bit of a wintry mix.
