Early rain today but drier weather is ahead

Light rain, and the chance for a few flakes in the higher elevations, will fall early in the morning. There is a chance for some patchy ice on the roads this morning. Rain and mix will taper off through the morning and we should see some clearing this afternoon and evening.

This week will be quiet and calm. Drier conditions are expected following this morning’s rain and mix.

A ridge of high pressure is building over the region this week which will help keep us dry and conditions sensible. The only concern with this pattern is the chance for fog to develop in the lower elevations. We’ll continue to track that as things progress throughout the week.

Highs today will range from the upper 30s to the low 40s. Lows tonight will drop into the teens and 20s. Calm winds today. Tomorrow looks very similar.

Temperatures rise on Wednesday to the mid and upper 40s, hovering in that range for the rest of the work week.

Happy Monday! Have a good day.
