Cool and partly cloudy today, chances for fog continue this week

Temperatures will be near normal again today, in upper 30s and low 40s. Skies will be party cloudy through the day, but a drier pattern is taking over this week. Lows tonight drop into the 20s.

This morning, take time to heat up your car or to scrape. You’ll likely have a little frost on the windshield. There is also a chance for some patchy ice. Be careful not to slip walking along the sidewalks and driving on the roads this morning.

Patchy fog is another thing you might run into as you head to work this morning. Fog was stubborn in some areas yesterday. Although most of it lifted, we are tracking redevelopment overnight and early this morning. Fog will be a pretty consistent issue this week with the pattern we have in place.

A high pressure ridge is building into the northwest this week, keeping our conditions dry and foggy at times. This pattern continues into next week, with the exception being Friday. On Friday, a small disturbance will swing through the area, bringing a slight chance for a stray shower. Not much, but we’ve seen a good share of wet weather recently.

Have a great Tuesday.
