Mild temperatures and rain returning this weekend

Highs today will be in the upper 40s and low 50s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Lows tonight will be in the 20s and 30s.

A couple models are still producing a chance for a stray shower tonight after dinner time. We will stay dry the majority of the day, but there is a small chance that a few raindrops fall in the late night hours.

Although we could see light, spotty rain between now and Saturday night, the next big rain event will begin Saturday around dinner time and is expected to continue into and through your day on Sunday.

A Hydrologic Outlook has been released by the NWS for the weekend. This is due to snow melt and future rainfall causing river, creeks, and streams to run a little high and a little fast. Most of the flood potential will stay north, up into the river basins, but keep an eye out locally for minor flooding, just in case.

Temperatures will continue to rise through the weekend and stay mild through next week. We’ll even see a few areas start tipping into the 60s! Normal for this time of year is upper 40s.

Happy Friday! Have a great day and an even better weekend.
