Two weather advisories bring heavy winds and snow to the region

We have a Winter Weather Advisory and a High-Wind Warning which  remains in effect until 4PM, Tuesday.  

With the Winter Weather Advisory: affecting the eastern slopes of the Central Cascades; snow expected above 4500 ft; total snow accumulations 5 to 10 inches; winds gusting as high as 60 mph; heavy snow may create low visibility and difficult driving conditions.

High-Wind Warning: high winds affecting cities including Bend, Prineville, Madras and Redmond; SW winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts between 45-60 mph, expected.

Rain in the lower elevations and snow in the mountains, are expected across the High Desert, through Tuesday afternoon.

Daytime temperatures will hover between the 40’s and 50’s.

Evening temperatures will range between the 20 and 30’s.
