Cooler and cloudier Sunday with morning showers

Happy March 1st!

We kicked off the first day of meteorological spring with sunny skies and mild temperatures. I hope you had a chance to get outside today!

Meteorological spring follows the calendar, covering March, April, and May. Astronomical spring, starting March 20th, is based on the Earth's position with the Sun.

I’d love to say these spring-like conditions are here to stay, but that’s not the case. A low-pressure system moves in today, bringing a cooling trend. While temperatures remain above normal in the 50s and 60s, they'll drop to the 40s tomorrow.

As the day moves along the clouds will thicken as we get ready for some rain before the sun comes up tomorrow.

Some snow may fall in the higher elevations, but rising temperatures will bring a transition to rain by late morning. Sunday's highs will reach the 40s.

Besides the morning, the majority of tomorrow looks dry with mostly cloudy conditions.

Temperatures will be near normal this upcoming week, with chances for light rain at times.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
