A Winter Storm Warning is in place through the weekend for the Cascades, eastern slopes, and areas south of Bend.

There will be some dangerous travel conditions due to heavy mountain snow and gusty winds. Consider delaying travel in the passes but if it’s absolutely necessary, bring your winter storm kit with you. Mountain totals will be between 1-2’ for the weekend.

Snow showers returned this morning to Central Oregon, but the majority of it has melted. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy, with the chance for some scattered mixed showers.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s and 30s.

We begin Saturday mostly dry with a chance for a stray snow shower. A mix of rain and snow will return during the second half of the day continuing overnight.

Heavier snow and a wintry mix are expected early Sunday, but by the afternoon, this will likely change to more rain. Meanwhile, the Cascades will continue to see heavy snowfall.

Highs will be in the 40s to 50s for the next several days.

Stay safe and enjoy your weekend!
