Another active weather week with off and on rain and snow

There is a chance to see a few stray flurries this morning, but most of us should remain dry today. We’ll see a lull in winter weather for a short time as we are in between two upper level systems. The next system will be impacting us Wednesday evening, right around dinner time. Rain and snow is expected in the high desert as well as heavy mountain snow.

Winter Weather Advisories are in place until 5pm tonight for the Cascades, eastern slopes and areas south of Bend. We could see these expire early due to the lack of snow through the day. A Winter Storm Watch has been released by the NWS for Wednesday afternoon to Friday night for the Cascades. Periods of heavy mountain snow are expected, impacting travel. This will likely be upgraded to a warning as we approach that time frame.

After rain and snow impact us Wednesday night, we’ll see another brief lull in winter weather in the high desert Thursday before the next wave approaches on Friday.

The weekend looks dry and mild, with highs back in the 50s and 60s.

Happy Tuesday. Have a great day!
