The Spring temperature swing is here this week, along with some spotty showers

The mercury in the thermometer is expected to rise into the 70s on Thursday, then back to the 50s by Sunday.  A series of weak waves of rain and mountain snow will be present periodically, nothing impressive, but we always like the rain this time of year.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy as the rain lingers from the off and on pattern of Monday. The temperatures will be right about normal for early April, the middle to upper 50s. Winds will be on the breezy side, gusting to the middle 20s at times, so noticeable gusts. There may be some mountain snow, but not much accumulation.

Wednesday starts the warm up process as we hit the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies. The milder than normal pattern continues Thursday as we top out in the middle 70s.

Friday looks to be the beginning of a couple of cloudy and cooler weather conditions. Friday will see temps in the 60s followed by Saturday with highs in the 50s.  Spotty rain showers are possible both Friday and Saturday, but just enough to wet the lawn, not too beneficial for the “May flowers.”

The mountains will be getting a couple more inches of snow this week, but with temps on the mild side during the day, we may lose more base than we will add to the base. Spring snow riding is here.

Please stay safe.
