The warm, summer feel weather continues for a few more days

Temperatures are slightly cooler today with highs only topping out in the 70s, but are still sitting 8-10 degrees above normal for this time of year. The ridge of high pressure that is dominating the west has flattened slightly for the day but will make a quick comeback, rebuilding into the weekend.

The temperature forecast has changed a bit for Friday and Saturday. It no longer looks like we’ll have record breaking heat this week. No need to worry, temperatures are still expected to be very warm! Friday now appears to be the warmer day of the two, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90S while Saturday drops a few degrees as the high pressure ridge starts to move east.

We’ll make a big change starting Sunday as temperatures get back to near normal in the 60s and low 70s.

Models are unsure with the way our next system is expected to roll in. Therefore, we’ve been going back and forth on whether or not we will see rain at the top of next week. Right now, we’re backing off on the rain chances but make sure you’re paying attention to the forecast–There will likely be some changes over the next couple days until things become a little clearer.

Have a happy Thursday!
