Clearing on Sunday with slightly warmer temps

Happy Saturday!

We’re experiencing a chilly start to the summer season! This is due to a deep pocket of cold air that is dropping in from the Gulf of Alaska dropping our temperatures to the 50s and 60s.

Winds are noticeable as well today, gusting to near 25 mph at times.

We saw some showers this afternoon and are expecting more this evening into the night. It won’t be a lot of rain, but every bit helps when we’re behind on seasonal totals.

The mountains received some summer snow today! It’s not expected to stick, but expect some cold and wet conditions.

Dry weather returns tomorrow as the rain tapers off overnight. Afternoon highs will into the upper 60s to low 70s. Slightly warmer, but still running below normal!

I know many are eager for the warm weather to return! By Monday, we’ll be back in the upper 70s to low 80s as a stretch of sunny days settles in. It will feel like summer again soon.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
