The stable pattern continues with warm temperatures

We’ll close out the work week with temperatures a few degrees above normal. Normal for this time of year is in the mid to upper 70s, and we’ll see highs today and tomorrow range from the mid 70s to the low 80s.

Today, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and winds will gust near 20-25mph this afternoon. You can plan for mostly sunny skies through the weekend.

The upper level pattern will continue to move directly west to east over the next few days. This is keeping our conditions stable and similar day in and day out. This weekend, however, a ridge of high pressure will begin to build, which will heat us up quite a bit.

Highs will be in the 80s this weekend, with the potential to tip into the 90s on Sunday. Hot temperatures in the 90s will continue into next week.

In addition to the heat, an area of low pressure is expected to drop down into northern California early next week. We could see some moisture swing around this system and impact us Monday. There is potential for rain and thunderstorms but confidence is still low. Rain and storm chances will depend on where exactly that low moves in at. We’ll continue to monitor this system as it develops and the forecast becomes more clear.

Happy Thursday! Have a nice day.
