Tracking cooler temps Monday, chance of showers & isolated storms
A new system is moving in which will break up the warm and dry stretch we’ve had lately. This is bringing more clouds, cooler temperatures, and a higher chance for showers or isolated storms to develop.
The cooler weather and higher humidity is helping to further moderate fire behavior. According to the Oregon State Fire Marshal, there is a decreased threat to structures.
There’s a slight chance for showers later tonight, but we’re looking at mostly cloudy conditions today. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s and 50s.
Tomorrow will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
The Storm Prediction Center has put us under a ‘general thunderstorm risk’ for Monday. It's a slight chance since of the storm activity looks to stay to the east of our area. You might also catch a few light, spotty showers, but they should clear out by the evening.
Afternoon highs on Monday will reach the upper 70s to low 80s.
We’ll start drying out and warming up on Tuesday as the system exits to the east. Sunny skies will return with warm temperatures in the 80s.
Thursday is looking to be the hottest day of the week with temps reaching the 90s.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
