First taste of fall, cool and wet weather ahead

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A low pressure system off the coast is fueling our unsettled weather pattern. Showers and storms are possible through the evening, but things should clear out after sunset.

The rain has helped calm wildfire activity, but lightning still remains a concern for new fire starts.

An Air Quality Alert will remain in effect under 11pm for Crook County. Even if you don’t live in that area, the air quality still may be impacted due to wildfires in the region.

As the low shifts inland, highs dip into the 60s and 70s before warming back later this week.

Tomorrow begins with partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies with showers developing by mid-morning.

The rain will be likely most of the day and should be off and on. The chance for some thunderstorms is also on the table.

Afternoon highs will range from the 60s to mid 70s tomorrow.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, rain chances increase and thunderstorm chances drop.

This week is giving us the first real taste of fall. Keep that rain gear handy, you’ll need it.
