Rain showers arrive early Sunday

Happy Saturday!

We had a sunny start to the day, but more clouds have moved in this afternoon. A stray shower can’t be ruled out this evening, but chances stay low.

Overnight lows will drop into the 40s and 50s under mostly cloudy skies.

Today is more of a "setup day" for Sunday's rain. Showers are expected to arrive before sunrise as a cold front moves through, keeping highs in the mid to upper 60s. There’s potential for a stray thunderstorm which could bring brief gusts or lightning.

Rain will be off and on, tapering off in the late afternoon. Skies stay mostly cloudy before gradually turning sunny.

A high pressure system moves in on Monday, bringing drier conditions and seasonable temperatures through the middle of the week.

Highs will be in the low 70s on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be warmer as we head up into the low 80s.
