Mostly cloudy and cool today with chance for few stray showers

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A low pressure system is moving in off the coast which will keep us cooler and cloudier through the weekend.

There is a chance for a few stray showers today with most of the rain falling west of the Cascades. Expect mostly cloudy conditions with highs in the 60s.

Southern and Western Deschutes County may see light rain or snow early Friday and Saturday. Any snow that falls will melt quickly.

Showers return to the High Desert Friday, and will continue off and on Saturday.

Temperatures will progressively cool through the remainder of the work week. Plan on highs in the 40s and 50s over the weekend.

Mountain Forecast: Could see a rain/snow mix overnight into Friday. Better chances for snow showers heading into the weekend. A few inches of snow are possible at higher elevations. Winds will stay breezy. Travelers should use caution through the passes.

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!
