Chance for early rain or mix and light mountain snow today
Bend, OR (KTVZ) -
You are likely waking up to wet roads after light showers passed through last night. There is still a chance through mid-morning that you catch a few raindrops or flurries on your windshield but precipitation is expected to clear the Tri-County area pretty early in the day.
Good news for skiers and snowboarders who are eager to hit the slopes…there is fresh snow on the mountain this morning! However, it’s not very much. Light mountain snow will taper off early after dropping between 2-4”. The mountain will need a few feet before opening resorts. The next chance for rain and snow looks like early or mid next week, but I'm not seeing anything significant right now.
The rest of the day will have a good amount of sunshine and temperatures in the 40s.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s on Friday but heat up a bit through the weekend as a ridge of high pressure builds. Some areas will even be near 60 by Sunday.
Happy Thursday!
