Cooler pattern this weekend, slight chance of snow/rain overnight

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Some colder air pushed in from the north and northwest this weekend, keeping temperatures on the cooler side. We’re seeing overcast skies today, with highs ranging from the 30s to low 40s across Central Oregon.

Overnight, temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s.

A slight chance of snow is possible late tonight into early Sunday. The system is mainly impacting locations east of Central Oregon, nearer the Blue and Ochoco mountains. Most of it should fall after midnight and taper off before sunrise.

Highs will only reach the upper 30s to low 40s tomorrow.

Aside from that early chance of snow or a rain/snow mix, the rest of the day looks dry but chilly. It will be cloudy through mid-morning with a gradual clearing.

We are slightly milder by Monday as highs rise to the low 50s. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies. Some showers are possible later in the day. There's a lack of moisture so it won’t be more than light rain or a brief wintry mix.

Meteorological Winter begins on Monday which covers the months of December, January and February. Unlike astronomical winter, which is based on the solstice, meteorological winter covers December, January and February, the coldest months of the year.

The first week of December looks dry and warmer than normal, with afternoon highs topping out in the mid 40s to low 50s.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
