Central Oregon continues to break records, more in jeopardy this weekend
BEND, Ore (KTVZ) -
Records continue to fall in Central Oregon. The last two days have seen record breaking warmth for many cities in the Tri-County area and the coming days will be no different. With highs in the 50s and 60s into next week, records are forecasted to keep falling.
Skies will be bright and full of sunshine today and tomorrow, which will make for the perfect next few days to hit a trail or ride your bike. You’ll want to take advantage of these rare December days while they last!
Clouds will increase Sunday ahead of big changes at the top of next week. Widespread, persistent, heavy rain is expected for much of the Pacific Northwest. With little relief following this last Atmospheric River event, flooding and high waters could be a concern across the region once again.
Central Oregon has rain chances off and on through the majority of next week.
Changes next week will drop snow levels and provide the Cascade range with the potential to see measurable snowfall. We are holding off on forecasting snow totals, as things can change, but we are seeing the signs for a more wintry pattern possible across the mountains.
Happy Friday. Have a wonderful weekend.
