Still mild on Monday, wet pattern returns

KTVZ

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - The ridge of high pressure that brought drier weather this weekend is shifting east as another active weather pattern moves in.

Highs will stay on the mild side tomorrow, reaching the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Rain stays mostly light tomorrow across the region, but a few moderate showers possible. Southern and western Deschutes County may see the highest totals, near 0.20 inches.

Rain chances increase through Tuesday. Breezy to windy conditions are expected.

By midweek, colder air arrives, lowering snow levels and changing rain to snow in the mountains. Several inches of snow are possible at the Cascade passes, which could impact travel.

Lower elevations, including Bend, will mainly see rain, with a mix possible at times. Afternoon highs will return to the 40s.

Another system later in the week could bring even more mountain snow, though it’s still early to pin down totals. Good news for skiers and snowboarders hoping for a return to winter weather in the Cascades.
