More mountain snow, a few light showers on the High Desert

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Steady mountain snow continues in the Cascades today, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10pm.

If you’re traveling through the passes this week, be prepared for off and on snow and winter driving conditions.

Some light snow showers moved into Deschutes County this morning. We're expecting little to no accumulation with spotty showers chances later today. Roads could be slick so drive with extra caution.

The best chance for light snow on the High Desert comes Wednesday night into Thursday, with amounts generally between 0.5-2" of snow.

One of the main themes this week is below normal temperatures.

Highs today will only reach the mid to upper 30s, with a few spots near 40 degrees. It’s going to feel much more like winter compared to the mild periods we’ve seen so far.

By the end of the week, we’ll see some clearing and slightly warmer temperatures. We'll be back in the upper 40s by Sunday.
