Wet pattern ahead with off and on rain through Monday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - An atmospheric river is bringing a steady stream of moisture into the Pacific Northwest.

Here in Central Oregon, expect on and off light rain Monday. Showers look widespread, but totals stay light, ranging from about a tenth to a quarter inch. Snow will be confined to the Cascades since temperatures are warmer.

Highs climb into the low 50s this afternoon, along with sustained southwest winds around 15 to 20 mph.

Moderate rainfall is expected overnight into Tuesday as lows dip into the low to upper 30s. We'll wake up to wet conditions Tuesday morning but most showers taper off by the afternoon. Spotty mixed showers could return later in the day.

The pattern turns drier mid to late week, bringing quiet conditions to the High Desert with occasional mountain snow showers. Highs stay in the low 50s from Thursday through Sunday.

By Wednesday, we should be cleared out from the wet weather. Expect mostly sunny conditions with highs will be in the upper 40s.

Highs stay in the low 50s from Thursday through Sunday with dry, mostly sunny weather.
