Staying dry across Central Oregon as temps continue to warm

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Warmer air moving in will give the end of February a more spring-like feel.
Building high pressure will keep skies mostly clear and temperatures on the mild side. Afternoon highs will sit in the upper 40s to mid 50s today.
Clouds are lingering this morning because a slow moving front is still nearby, but they will gradually clear.
Mostly sunny skies are expected Friday, with highs climbing near 60 as the warming trend continues.
We're still looking at high temperatures in the 50s over the weekend. Clouds increase Saturday, with a chance for light rain heading into Sunday.
Sunday, March 1st, marks the start of meteorological spring. This includes the months of March, April, and May, which are used for official seasonal record keeping.
Astronomical spring begins on March 20th with the vernal equinox, when day and night are nearly equal as the Sun’s rays shine directly over the equator.
It’s shaping up to be a warmer than normal start to spring, with temperatures holding in the mid 50s to low 60s at the start of next week.
Have a great Thursday!
