Breezy to windy conditions today, chance for light rain

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Temperatures continue to warm through the week, with highs reaching the mid 50s today. It will feel blustery at times with winds around 15 to 25 mph.

There is a chance for some light rain today, but most of the precipitation is expected to stay west and north of our area. A jacket is still a good idea, as the wind will keep it feeling a bit cooler and a few lingering showers are still possible.

Expect mostly cloudy conditions Friday as the atmospheric river continues to push into the Pacific Northwest. Most of the rain will remain to the north, but Jefferson County and the Sisters area could see around a quarter inch of rain.

Showers will begin to shift south later in the day, allowing more rain to move into Deschutes County Friday evening and continue overnight into Saturday.

Early morning showers will taper off Saturday, with sunshine expected to break through the clouds later in the day. Temperatures will be mild, with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon.

Plan on a dry Sunday with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

A big shift arrives early next week as high pressure builds across the western US. This will help temperatures climb into the 70s. Hello, spring! 🌷
