Showers return late Friday into early Saturday, big warm up next week

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Happy Friday!

You can expect mild highs in the mid to upper 50s this afternoon with breezy conditions.

Showers return to Central Oregon this evening through early Saturday morning. Most of the precipitation will fall as rain, though a little snow could mix in at times overnight as temperatures drop into the mid 30s.

Saturday will be cooler as a cold front moves through the region, bringing colder air behind it. Highs will only reach the upper 40s. Once the showers move out, skies will begin to clear.

Sunday warms back into the mid 50s with increasing clouds. There’s a slight chance of rain, but most of the precipitation should stay in the Cascades. The mountains have been picking up the bulk of the moisture this week, leaving just light rain or a few sprinkles for Central Oregon.

Tuesday looks to be the warmest day, which happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day. Maybe a little luck of the Irish! 🍀 It should be a great day to get outside and enjoy the sunshine with friends and family.
