Dry and very warm pattern remains into the weekend

KTVZ

Bend, Ore (KTVZ) – The dry and very warm pattern continues into the weekend. A “less hot” day is in store for the region as highs will reach the middle to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies. The high temperatures Tuesday were in the 90s from Bend to Madras and east to Prineville, today it will be the middle to upper 80s.

Fire concerns remain elevated as the dry conditions across the area remain. Rainy days have been few and far between and our lack of snowpack this past winter season has the climatological community significantly concerned. No rain is in the forecast for the next several days so the dry and parched conditions will worsen.

Very little change in the overall pattern over the next several days will have the area in the upper 80s though the weekend.

Monday will be another 90-degree day as we continue this run of dry weather.  Highs are expected to reach the 90s from Monday of next week through at least Wednesday.

Conserve water as best you can, adhere to all fire restrictions and burn bans. This will be a rough summer as far as drought conditions are concerned and we need to make sure to keep any wildfires out of the equation as well.

Please, Stay safe and smart.
