‘Bras for a Cause’ coming up in April

During the month of April, Soroptimist International of Bend will be placing their collection Bra Boxes around town at participating retail businesses.

“Bras for a Cause” is an outreach project where women in Central Oregon can help women half way around the world with a simple act of donation of a gently used or new bra. Rescued from human trafficking, women in sub-Sahara Africa establish a business selling these garments and create a better life for themselves and their families.

These items, which are considered ordinary and often discarded by women of the Western world, are viewed as a luxury item in less affluent countries. Please check http://www.sibend.org/ for a list of local collection boxes for the month of April or find us on Facebook.
