American Legion to distribute poppies in Bend to honor our fallen warriors

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Join American Legion Auxiliary Unit 4 on National Poppy Day, Friday and Saturday, May 24 and 25 at the Bend Fred Meyer and Jake's Diner when members distribute bright red poppies in honor of our fallen warriors.

The poppy has become an internationally recognized symbol of the lives sacrificed in war and the hope that none died in vain. 100 percent of donations go directly to help veterans.
