Yoga with Cats returns to Bend: Where you can stretch and snuggle this weekend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Cat lovers looking for a new kind of relaxation can roll out their mats among furry friends this weekend at Playful Paws Cat Café in Bend. The café is hosting its once-a-month “Cats on Mats” class, a yoga session surrounded by adoptable cats.
Each month, the café teams up with local yoga instructor Ulla Lundgrand to combine gentle stretching with feline companionship. No prior yoga experience is required, and participants are free to move at their own pace.
“They'll crawl on top of you or under you. They'll nibble on you a little lightly. You'll get kitty kisses,” Lundgrand said. “And if you love cats, it's a wonderful way of getting a little yoga in and a lot of cats.”
The classes typically fill up fast, costing about $30 for an hour of yoga followed by an extra half hour to relax and play with the cats.
Later this month, Playful Paws plans to host another event, “Purrfect Harmony: A Cat Café Sound Bath,” offering a meditative experience accompanied by Tibetan bowls, gongs, and chimes.
