KTVZ

The Bethlehem Inn, Central and Eastern Oregon’s only emergency shelter for individuals and families, announced Wednesday it has been awarded a $20,000 two-year grant from the Safeco Insurance Foundation as part of its Basic Services Initiatives.

The Bethlehem Inn is one of 42 non-profits selected to receive this grant to help provide emergency assistance throughout the Northwest. In total, the Safeco Insurance Foundation has donated $600,000 this year to help provide fundamental services and basic needs for homeless families and individuals.

The Inn is proud to be a part of such a great group of organizations doing tremendous work for those in need.

The Inn was selected for its successful track record of reaching individuals experiencing homelessness and its demonstrated cost-effective use of resources. Safeco Insurance® Foundation’s support will allow the Inn to continue to provide shelter, meals and support services to the community’s individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
