NW Pro Rodeo finals to return to Prineville
The Northwest Professional Rodeo Association has approved a three-year contract to hold the NPRA finals at the Crook County Fairgrounds in Prineville. The 2012 Finals will be held September 21 & 22.
The NPRA board recently met and approved the three-year contract.
“The 2011 Finals held at Crook County last September went off without a hitch, and the NPRA Board of Directors is pleased to extend this event at the Fairgrounds through 2014. Prineville’s hospitality, and the Fairgrounds Rodeo facilities were major factors in this decision” said Randy Amis, NPRA Vice President.
“The weather in Central Oregon during September is typically dry and mild, and this also makes for perfect rodeo conditions” Amis went on to say.
“We’re very pleased with their decision,” said Casey Daly, Fairgrounds Manager. “This is a quality event that features the top cowboys and cowgirls involved in the NPRA. Many call Central Oregon home and we are very proud to have the opportunity to host these finals into the future.”
“This is simply another example where we can highlight the hospitality of Crook County, Prineville and our residents who love rodeo and a good party,” said Bill Gowen, CEO of the Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce.
