Ochoco NF office to close for remodeling

KTVZ

The Ochoco National Forest building and parking lot will be closed to the public for remodeling starting August 4th for 8 to 10 weeks.

The front desk staff will be temporarily relocated to the Prineville BLM office next door and phones will be forwarded to the Prineville BLM. All public services will still be available at the Prineville BLM office from the hours of 7:45 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.

The Ochoco National Forest building includes the Supervisor’s Office as well as both Ranger Districts for the forest, Lookout Mountain Ranger District and Paulina Ranger District. Visitors to the office are asked to check in with the Prineville BLM.

The Ochoco National Forest just signed a new 10 year lease, through 2022, for the existing building that included remodeling terms.

Currently, the landscaping is being completed by the owner of the building. The next phase will be remodeling the interior of the building, set to be completed in four stages throughout the building. Part of the remodeling includes constructing a public restroom in the visitor area of the building.

The staff of the Ochoco National Forest thanks you for your patience during the remodeling. For more information, contact the Ochoco National Forest Service Office at 541-416-6500.
