Flags to half-staff in Oregon soldier’s memory
Gov. John Kitzhaber has ordered all flags at public institutions to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday in honor of Specialist Mabry Anders of Baker City, killed late last month in Afghanistan.
“SPC Anders was among the best of Oregon serving both his state and nation,” said Kitzhaber. “His death is tragic and he will be missed by many in his community, but his legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
