Burglary spoils Prineville boy’s birthday surprise
It wasn’t the birthday a Prineville man wanted for his son.
Gary Bond’s son, Garrett, loves motorcycles. So Gary saved enough to finally get him one.
But Wednesday morning, someone spoiled the surprise by stealing it.
Gary kept the bike in a relative’s backyard to hide it from Garrett. It is a red and white 2008 Honda CRF 100 motorcycle and has a monster sticker on the rear fender.
He said he has no idea who stole it, but hopes whoever did realizes how important it was to him.
“We just woke up yesterday morning and my brother called me and said the bike was missing,” said Bond. “He was wondering if I had picked it up.”
“When I got there, it was already gone,” said Bond. “Someone had already stolen it.”
If you’ve seen the bike or know any information you’re urged to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-877-876-TIIPS, or use the form on our Crime Stoppers page at KTVZ.COM. You don’t have to give your name, and you could get a cash reward.
Prineville police say they have no leads at this time.
