Redmond softball tournament boosts area economy
The second annual High Desert Invitational Tournament is going on this weekend at Redmond’s Bowlby Fields.
Eight- to 12-year-old girls comprised of 13 teams from all over the state of Oregon are taking part.
Organizers started the tournament to give girls the chance to learn good character and leadership skills and hard work.
Mandi Puckett says the tournament is happy to partner with more businesses for next year.

The tournament continues Sunday with trophies given out to the winners.
