OSU-Cascades adds accounting degree
Oregon State University–Cascades has added a new degree program to its growing roster of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Beginning this fall, students will be able to pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
The accounting degree will prepare students for careers in tax, cost, corporate or not-for-profit accounting, and auditing. Students earn a degree from Oregon State University upon successful completion of the degree program.
The accounting program is a replica of the accounting degree offered at OSU’s College of Business in Corvallis. The OSU College of Business is one of 160 institutions worldwide to have achieved accreditation for its accounting program by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB is the internationally recognized accreditation organization for university business programs.
Until freshman and sophomore courses are offered at the Bend campus, students can apply to OSU-Cascades and take lower-division requirements at Central Oregon Community College under the guidance of an OSU-Cascades adviser. Applications are now being accepted for fall.
Transfer students interested in the accounting program are welcome to meet with an enrollment specialist any Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Cascades Hall. No appointment is necessary.
