DCSO seeks owner of wandering miniature pig

KTVZ

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it is seeking information on the possible owner of a “miniature” pig found wandering northeast of Tumalo on Tuesday.

Although the pig probably weighs in excess of 225 pounds, it is a miniature in breed, as opposed to a pot-belly or a standard, deputies said.

This pig was found wandering at large in the Long Butte area northeast of Tumalo between Highway 97 and the Old Bend-Redmond Highway.

Anyone with information on a possible owner, or those with an ownership claim on the animal, were asked to call the non-emergency Dispatch line at 541-693-6911 . Callers should reference CAD# 14-060229.

Those calling to report a claim of ownership will be asked for additional descriptive information on the pig, which is currently being cared for at the sheriff’s office’s Large Animal Rescue facility in Bend.
