KTVZ

Redmond Proficiency Academy announced today that students interested in attending the charter school during the 2014-15 school year should apply for enrollment by March 15th at 5 p.m. RPA will close its Open Enrollment Period at that time and all subsequent applicants will be placed upon a waiting list.

“We are thrilled with the response to our Open Enrollment Period,” said Executive Director Jon Bullock. “While we still have openings in all grade levels, spaces are filling up fast. Interested students and families should apply for enrollment by March 15th for the best opportunity to attend RPA next school year.”

RPA will host a Parent Information Night on Tuesday, March 11th at 5:30 p.m. at the Hugh Hartman Building on the RPA West Campus for parents and families interested in learning more about RPA’s academic program and enrollment process.

RPA is a public charter school-serving students in grades six through 12. The school focuses on providing students a proficiency-based education in a personalized learning environment. At RPA, students can move at their own pace and are grouped by ability level rather than grade level.

Students can also create a personalized learning plan and pursue their own areas of
interest.

RPA encourages students to participate in real world learning experiences and to earn credit by demonstrating their knowledge and skills. RPA prides itself on creating an inclusive school culture where teachers know their students and where students cultivate friendships in an atmosphere of academic success.
