KTVZ

Deschutes County Farm Bureau is proud to offer to its members’ families college scholarships.

Voting and supporting member families are encouraged to apply.

We will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship in each of the three school districts in Deschutes County (Bend-La Pine, Redmond, and Sisters). We will also be offering a $1,500 scholarship to a returning college student from Deschutes County.

These scholarships are for students in any field of studies, with preference given to students studying agriculture or forestry.

These are a one-time award and are not recurring. They will be awarded after high school graduations and available for fall terms. In the case of the returning student, it will be awarded after spring term and available for fall term. Grade transcripts will need to be submitted with the applications.

High school students are encouraged to apply for the returning student scholarship after completing their first year of college. Returning students are welcome to reapply for as long as they are in school.

Checks will be issued to your college for your student account.

Winners will be determined by the Board of Directors of the Deschutes County Farm Bureau. Applicants will be judged based on need, field of study, accuracy of completing application, and the short biography.

Applications need to be returned by April 30, 2015. For applications or more information see your High School Counselor or contact Deschutes County Farm Bureau.
