Bend police seek tips in brake shop burglary

KTVZ

Bend police released security video images Friday from a break-in and burglary at a northeast Bend brake shop in hopes tips from the public can help solve the 2-month-old crime, also offering a Crime Stoppers reward for information that leads to an arrest.

The suspect forced his way into Central Oregon Brakes for Less, 1315 NE Third Street, sometime between December 4 th and 6 th , over a period when the business was closed, said Lt. Nick Parker.

The break-in itself caused damage, and the man stole “several items of value,” Parker said in a news release, declining to be more specific about the method of entry or what was stolen.

The suspect vehicle believed involved was only described as a “light-colored passenger car.”

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect was asked to contact Bend police Officer Andrew Davis at 541-322-2960.

If you have any information, you can also contact the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-877-876-TIPS, or use the form on KTVZ.COM’s Crime Stoppers page. You can remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
