Family Kitchen 10 Barrel’s ‘Charity of the Month’
10 Barrel Brewing has selected Family Kitchen as their Charity of the Month for February. The main event is ‘Charity Tuesday’ from 4:30 – 9pm on Tuesday, February 24 th at their Bend Pub, 1135 NW Galveston.
Proceeds from the event as well as proceeds from the sale of logo gear all month will be donated to support Family Kitchen’s efforts to feed those who are hungry or struggling financially in the Bend area. In addition, the 10 Barrel staff will be teaming together to cook, serve and clean up a lunch meal at Family Kitchen on February 18 th .
The volunteers and staff at Family Kitchen served 58,882 meals in 2014. High food costs, high rents, and lack of available housing all have had a negative effect on individuals and families in Central Oregon. As always, anyone who walks in our doors during mealtimes will be fed a nutritious meal. No questions. No hassles.
Founded in 1986, Family Kitchen continues to be a safe, welcoming refuge for those who need a meal. Our mission: to serve anyone who needs a nutritious meal in a safe and caring environment. Meals are served Monday through Saturday at “the Red Door” at Trinity Episcopal Church, 231 NW Idaho Avenue, Bend.
