KTVZ

By proclamation, the Deschutes County Commissioners are declaring June 8-15 as Sisters Rodeo Week, in honor of the 75th annual competition.

County Commissioner Tony DeBone proposed the honor. The Sisters Rodeo Board of Directors will accept the award in a ceremony at the Deschutes County offices on Wednesday morning, June 10 at 1300 NW Wall St.

“We are very excited about this,” said President Glenn Miller, “because it doesn’t happen all the time. It’s nice to know that the county feels that we have done good things, not just for Sisters, but for all of Deschutes County. “

Sisters Rodeo will begin June 10 with Xtreme Bulls followed by four rodeo performances June 12-14. For tickets and information, call the ticket hotline at 541-549-0121 or 1-800-827-7522, or visit the ticket office at 220 W. Cascade Ave. in Sisters. For more information, visit www.sistersrodeo.com.
