KTVZ

Bend police are seeking witnesses to a reported stabbing during a robbery attempt in northeast Bend early Tuesday.

A 40-year-old Bend man said he was stabbed around 1:15 a.m. near the Franklin Avenue underpass when three unknown assailants in dark clothing tried to take a purse from a 27-year-old Bend woman he was walking with, said Lt. Clint Burleigh.

The man had gone to St. Charles Bend for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries before officers contacted him, Burleigh said, adding that the investigation is continuing and there’s no other information to release at this time.

Bend police asked that anyone who might have witnessed the incident to please contact officers at (541) 693-6911.
