New company, Bend Original, has High Desert flair

Brothers Adam and David Young started Bend Original after thinking about the city they grew up in.

“The idea came to me like we should start andresurrect these old businesses,” David Young said Tuesday.

They started with the logo for the former Deschutes Station.

“It was essentially like the ‘Chuck E. Cheese’s’ in Bend,” David said. “Everyone would go there. It was kind of a fun spot to be.”

The Youngs are graduates of Juniper Elementary, Pilot Butte Middle School,and Mountain View High School.

“It has to do more with what the community loves to do in the Central Oregon area,” said Adam Young.

Bend Original makes hats, T-shirts and creative logos. The marketing, screen printing and designing are all done in Central Oregon.

“It’s a lot going on, but it’s all good stuff,” Adam Young said. “I get to work with my brother — he’s my best friend.”
