Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo names grand marshal, queen

The Deschutes County Fair Association is proud to announce Nancy Cole of Redmond as the new Fair & Rodeo Grand Marshal, and Emylia Breckel of Bend as this year’s Fair & Rodeo Queen.

Nancy was raised in Central Oregon and has worked for the Redmond School district for 29 years. She has been involved in both 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA).

Emylia, 17, was the 2015 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo princess. The Bend native takes online classes through Baker Web Academy and will be graduating this summer. She plans to pursue nursing school. Emylia is an eight-year Deschutes County 4-H member, with swine and horse projects.

The Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo will be held Aug. 3 – 7. The theme is, “Fair, Fun and Friends.”
