OSU-Cascades seeks public input on design team candidates

KTVZ

Feedback from members of the public will be one of the criteria used as Oregon State University – Cascades selects the design and engineering team that will create a long range development plan for the university’s expanded campus in Bend.

Three teams will present their skills and qualifications to members of the campus advisory groups and members of the public on Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Brooks room on Wall Street in Bend.

Each team will have an hour to present on topics related to relevant experience, the long range development planning process, and a stakeholder and community engagement process. They will each also provide a preliminary analysis of conclusions recently determined by the advisory groups for the new campus.

The analysis will consider a 56-acre campus and a potential 132-acre campus. A 30-minute question and answer period will follow each presentation.

The presentations, also called charrettes, and questions and answer periods are scheduled as follows:

10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Ayers Saint Gross, Hennebery Eddy Architects and Pinnacle Architecture

1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Page Southerland Page and SERA Architects

3:30 p.m.to 5:00pm ZGF Architects LLP

Members of the public are welcome to attend any of the presentations. Carpooling or public transportation is encouraged.
